KINDS OF NOUN:
There are two basis of Noun:
On the basis of caste:
There are five
types of noun:

Proper noun
2.
Common noun
3.
Material noun
4.
Collective noun
5.
Abstract noun
On the basis of numbers:
Some grammarians
define its two different types. These are as follow:

Countable noun
2.
Uncountable noun
1. Proper Noun: The
word which identifies the name of any special person, place and thing, is
called proper noun.
E.g: Ram,
Mohan, Geeta, Ramayan, Agra, India, etc.
Note:1. Proper Noun is always started with capital
letter.
2. Proper Noun has no mistake.
2. Common Noun: The
word which identifies the person of a caste or community is called common noun.
E.g:Man,
Woman, Boy, Girl, Mountain, Book, Country, Garden, Doctor, Teacher, etc.
I.
Ram is
a Proper Noun but man is a Common Noun.
II.
Akbar is
Proper Noun but king is Common Noun.
3. Material Noun: The
word which is used for making new things with itself, is called material noun.
E.g: Wood,
Milk, Gold, etc.
4. Collective Noun: The word which includes a group, is called
collective noun.
E.g: Army,
Team, Nation, Fleet, Herd, etc.
5. Abstract Noun: The
word which identifies quality, work and condition, is called abstract noun.
E.g:
I.
Quality: Honesty,
Bravery, Wisdom, etc.
II.
Action:
Thought, Movement, Statement, etc.
III.
State :
Youth, Sleep, Sickness, Birth, etc.
1.Countable Noun: The
word which can count, is called countable noun.
E.g: Pen,
Pencil, Table, Orange, Boy, etc.
2. Uncountable Noun: The word which cannot count.
E.g: Water, Tea, Sugar, Bravery, etc.
