NOUN:GENDER
Definition: Gender is the word which defines the caste of any living or non-living things in the world is called Gender.

Types
èThere are four types of gender:
1.      Masculine Gender
2.      Feminine Gender
3.      Common Gender
4.      Neuter Neuter

1.      Masculine Gender: It suggests the caste of males.
Eg.:Man, Boy, Tiger, Bull, king, etc.
2.      Feminine Gender: It suggests the caste of females.
Eg:Woman, Girl, Tigress, cow, Queen, etc.
3.      Common Gender: It suggests the caste of male or female both.
Eg:They, Doctor, Friend, Child, Student, Principal,etc.
4.      Neuter Gender: It suggests non-living things.
Eg: Pen, Book, Tree, Plant, Carpet, etc.

èRemembering points:
1.      In spite of having the group of persons, Collective noun is also called Neuter Gender.
Eg:The Army knows its duty.
2.      Collective, Material and Abstract Noun are seemed to be Neuter Gender.
Eg:Gold, Wisdom, Army etc.
3.      Infant, Baby and small animal (rat, crow, fly) are also in Neuter Gender
4.      Sun, Summer,Winter,Death,Time etc are called Masculine Gender and Moon,Earth,Spring,Nature,Mercy,Charity,Hope,Peace,Justice etc are known as Feminine Gender.
5.      Ship is used as Feminine Gender. For it we use the wors-‘she’.
